Exam stress and other things

I am so stressed. I'm in my second semester of 1st year in college and I am convinced I am going to fail my exams this semester. I was the same prior to last semesters exams and I ended up getting 3A's and 2B's.

I can't turn off my brain from worrying about it. I'm from a rural area and I'm attending college in a city. If I fail my exams I will not be able to afford to repeat them and I will end up in my rural area again forever where I can very easily go days without seeing other people.

My dad suffers from really bad paranoia but it has gotten alot better recently but its something that has really ruined my childhood (I won't go into examples of things he's done because some of them are truly horrible). I worry about EVERY little thing in my life and I'm so scared I'm taking after my dad as if I end up doing half the things he has done due to being paranoid - I can't even think about it.

I can't describe how scared I am, I'm constantly in the library but I've got a mild learning disability that makes it hard to learn stuff off for exams and that's only adding to my stress.

This probably sounds minor compared to other threads on this but I cant even describe how stressed I am. I've only made one proper friend the whole year in college and if I don't pass my exams thats my only proper friend lost as we're from different parts of the country and my friends from school have sort of all disappeared.

I also feel so lonely and that no one really cares about me. But my biggest problem is worrying about my exams in the next couple of weeks. If I fail them my life is ruined.

I've never felt this stressed, even the leaving cert was less stressful as I'd less to lose by failing.

Your college should have a counselling service, make an appointment with them asap. You are not alone and there are tools that will help you get less stressed, please access them. The counsellors are there to help you.
