So paypal revised it's tos and it seems you cant buy ecigs anymore without breaking the tos.

    https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/ua/upcoming-policies-full
Amendment to the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy

    Effective Date: Jul 1, 2015

We encourage you to carefully review this Policy Update to familiarise yourself with all of the changes that are being made to the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy.

Tobacco Products, E-cigarettes and Prescription Drugs and Devices
The Acceptable Use Policy currently prohibits use of PayPal for activities that violate applicable law or industry regulations regarding the sale of tobacco products or prescription drugs and devices. We're replacing that prohibition with new policy language covering these types of items, as well as e-cigarettes. Under the new language, use of PayPal for cigarette transactions will be prohibited. In addition, merchants will be permitted to use PayPal for sales of non-cigarette tobacco products, e-cigarettes, and prescription drugs and devices only with PayPal’s pre-approval.

The changes will be as follows:

Section 5 under Prohibited Activities, which contains the current provisions related to tobacco products and prescription drugs and devices, will be removed.
A new Section 2(c) under Prohibited Activities will read as follows:
“You may not use the PayPal service for activities that: … 2. relate to transactions involving … (c) cigarettes …”
The relevant parts of the chart under Activities Requiring Approval will be revised to read as follows:
“PayPal requires pre-approval to accept payments for certain services as detailed in the chart below.

It says you need pre approval i wonder is that the company's or the buyer?

It's hard to know what it really means because it's all jargon.

I think it's an issue for merchants only because of this:

"In addition, merchants will be permitted to use PayPal for sales of non-cigarette tobacco products, e-cigarettes, and prescription drugs and devices only with PayPal’s pre-approval."

    And note here:

“PayPal requires pre-approval to accept payments for certain services as detailed in the chart below."

It says "accept payments" rather than "make payments." So I'd say this isn't for us to actually do anything about, but concerning because it's possible that our fave vendors who use PayPal will be refused the use of paypal. I'd say it won't be an issue because paypal won't want to lose the business but they've made decisions for political reasons before so possibly some lobbying from Pharmaceutical companies has been going on.

It also say's "Devices" could this be a way of cracking down on china clones?

I don't think so because China and their corporations are very powerful and cloning is probably a large bulk of their operations*. If my guessing is close to the mark I'd think they'd be more likely to bully smaller vendors in countries like Ireland than want to take on huge players like Fasttech etc.

    * When draconian measures come in I think that Europe's loss will be China's gain in the ecig revenue world.

Fair play to ya! Thanks for highlighting this btw, I got the paypal email last night and like all responsible consumers I ignored it.

Edit: I actually thought I was quoting something else there, maybe I had 2 windows open or something. Anyway, point remains!

is it not more to do with the new legislation in some States in America?

for example Indiana, where it will be illegal to buy e-juice or mods across state lines

I doubt they'll rush to enforce any ban anyway. Doesn't ebay have a "ban" on ecigs? You can still get all kinds of mods on there.

    Fecking nitwits!

It might not be a bad thing, right now technically your not allowed to sell juice/vape gear on ebay or make ecig transactions using paypal, that was policy all along, But now they are allowing vendors to sell provided they get pre approval. The question is will they make it easy for them or so hard that they go out of business.

They're acting billy big bollocks with it now though, which won't win them to many favours. As they've grown they've also become political. I expect there will be another one or two rival companies in the offing over the next few years.

I believe Aspire started legal proceedings a while ago arising from Fastech selling genuine aspire products for cheaper than everywhere else.

The result of that was being unable to buy any aspire products using paypal from Fasttech. Id say this is connected in some way.

There are stills ways around it though....

I have been able to order all my vaping goods from FastTech this past 2 weeks, apart from and "Authentic Aspire" products So I purchased clones and Aspire lose out on potential sales. Mad decision

If you need to buy "Authentic Aspire" products from FT just buy a FT gift cert and pay with that, no PP issues then.

I use Fasttech alot and pay with Bitcoin.
You get 3 times the rebate points if you pay with Bitcoin.
and points are added 1 hour later vs 60 days later if you pay with paypal.
And you can buy what you like.

Bitcoin? That's genuinely fascinating. Where do you buy it? How much do you hold in Bitcoin?

    Hi J Mysterio
First id suggest you take a look at these sites and learn as much as you can.
    bitcoin.org
    reddit.com/r/Bitcoin

    I buy from here Kraken.com
I send Euros from my bank account to Kraken.com using SEPA payment (no charge from bank)
No charge from Kraken exchange for SEPA euro Deposit.
Then to buy bitcoin there is a 0.35% charge.

    Or
when i first started i used an Irish site
Much less Complicated if your new to Bitcoin
    eircoin.net
But there is a 4.99% charge.

I normaly have 2 Bitcoins max.(i can afford to loose this if everything goes T1TS up!)
When the price is low i buy.
When the price is High i sell or spend.
