    The Golden Hour

In photography, the golden hour is a period shortly after sunrise or before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer compared to when the Sun is higher in the sky.

Take a photo of a subject lit with this magical light, or indeed of the sun itself at this time :D

A useful tool for determining exactly when this occurs for you is:

    The Photographer’s Ephemeris

    RULES:

    - Opening date is at the time of this post.
    - Closing date is Wednesday, the 6th of May at 11pm. At this point I will announce the winner and ask him/her to post the next challenge.
    - Only photos taken in this time period will qualify.
    - Only 1 photo per post, but submit as many posts as you like.
    - Image size must be no longer than 800px on the longest side.
    - The next challenge will be chosen by the person who has the most thanks after the closing date of this challenge.
    - Photo must be taken by you.

I look forward to seeing everyone's submissions!

Omg!!! I could pretend to be cool about this, but... I'm absolutely not!!!! That means so much to me and I've enjoyed having this outlet to give me inspiration since I joined and the process of growing and learning and I still have so much to learn, but by gosh, it's been fun!

I think I know what I want to choose for the next comp, so I'll get down to setting that shortly.

Thank you everyone for your votes. You have made a very artistically frustrated woman, very happy :)
