changing address ebay

    If you try to edit your address on ebay it says it will be checked by a third party to verify. who is the third party and how could they verify your address

    What address are you trying to Edit, I just went to my Ebay account and change the address from Parcel Motel.

    I also have the option to add a new address, I do not see that message about the verification.

    I tested on ebay.co.uk and ebay.ie. I went to My account, Addresses, I change the Postage address, not any of the others.

    I wonder will they send you a letter with a code that you need to enter back on website, maybe paying a company to check electoral register or something similar? other than that not sure how they can do it.

    Not sure, I was just guessing but by pressing the button you might be agreeing to transfer your information to another company.
