Wedding gift...holiday vouchers?

We're getting married next year (second time around) and we're being asked by family and friends (in a roundabout way) what we'd like as presents. As we have all the table lamps, photo frames and toasters that we need, we would really appreciate cash, but another thought (and way less awkward to suggest!) would be vouchers towards a holiday.
So we're wondering if there's a 'one for all' type voucher that would be acceptable in any Cork travel agency? It would be better than a few vouchers for one agency and a few for another etc......one big holiday instead of a few small breaks!

The one place I wouldn't mind getting vouchers for is Trail Finders (have a Cork Branch). Vouchers often have an expiry date, theirs doesn't, also you can go to so many different places with TF....

I wouldn't suggest vouchers, just let people give you cash.
Cash is an unrestricted voucher for any shop, it doesn't go out of date and there's no risk of business closure or liquidation.

With travel agencies in particular I'd be worried about the shop you have them for going out of business. Even if it doesn't the chance the exact holiday you want will be at the best price in specific travel agency is really low. Seriously cash all the way.

amdublin, posts like that are not helpful and are not in keeping with the supportive/friendly ethos of this forum.

If you don't mind either cash or vouchers, then just leave it be... people will generally air on the side of caution and give cash these days anyway. You'll also avoid pi$$$ing off anyone who doesn't like being "told" what to give...

If people are asking what you'd like then I wouldn't feel anyway awkward about suggesting cash. It's a different story if you ask people unsolicited but thats obviously not the case here.
