      Hi all,
      I am a first year architectural student and I have to do a report on building structures. I'm currently having difficulty calculating some structural calculations such as shear force and permanent and variable loads. I'm also quite confused on how to properly convey how the forces are brought from roof level to ground level and showing mechanisms of force transfer i.e bending, shear, foundation. etc. If anyone could give me some advice or check my calculations or even give some references it would be greatly appreciated! :)

      Would a tutor or lecturer not be best for you to ask.

      If you go to a lecturer with a problem that you've worked on, like you have, as opposed to just saying you don't get it they're usually helpful enough.
