Any experience with dealing with dislocated elobow ? Its been put back in, nothing broken thankfully....but just wondering about length of time for rehab, any unforseen possible complications...you know, looking for reassurance all will be well....within reason based on what I have written...

Did you get a diagnosis of "simple" or "complex"? Any ligament damage?

Not fully understanding the difference and not having been told by docs/consultant which it was, I am assuming its simple...i.e it was quite a battle to get it back in (young, strong lad of 19) but it has gone back into position ok (as per docs and consultants reading of xrays)

There has probably been trauma to soft tissue.....I presume ligament damage/nerve damage doesnt show up on xray so I have to take on faith what they said i.e its fixed and now we are in recovery mode...which is why I posted this thread..

Of course I would have preferred an MRI scan as I presume they would show soft tissue damage...but it doesnt seem to be part of the process, whether its omission is based on their experience of these incidents or cost constraints, I dont know...I am trying to hold back my inner cynic on that one...
