IRISH TV CHANGING FREQUENCY

    Came across this today, for anyone interested.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION :

    Irish TV are Changing Frequency :

    At the moment there is dual illumination, so you will find the new channel on the following.

    Currently May 5 th is the switch off for the old channel.

    This will only effect FTA Satellite Receivers.


    Transponder: C1L :
    Frequency: 11.222GHz :
    Polarity Horizontal :
    Sym Rate: 27500 :
    FEC:2/3
    Service ID: 52060

    Yes the 'old' channel got switched off yesterday .

    I spotted a banner temporarily superimposed on Irish Tv a few days ago advising that 'some' viewers would have to retune their satellite receivers

    Sky Digital: New frequency for Irish TV: 11685.50MHz, pol.V (DVB-S SR:22000 FEC:5/6 SID:55380 PID:2310/2311 English- Clear).

    I had noticed that Irish TV on the existing transponder was missing Now/Next EPG info in recent days, ...

    These niche channels seem to change frequency pretty often. Not sure why.

    The previous slot carried on in parallel for several days (minus station name if you tuned it in, as well as zero programme details) but is now gone blank, so now only on the new 11686 V (SR: 22k FEC:5/6) transponder

    would be good if a static notice could be put on the previous slot for a few days saying a retune (for non-SKY/Freesat receivers ) is required.

    Maybe they pay lower transmission costs for non-static frequencies?
