    Hi all,

We are using a homemade photobooth for our wedding and I need to source some fun props for our guests as an option for their photos.

Anyone know where I could source some reasonably priced things like fake glasses, funny signs, hats etc

    Thanks

I was looking around for a few bits and Id say your best chance is the pound shop or places like deals...

I picked up a set of those props on sticks like moustaches etc (you could make them)..

If you can get to the bargin bin in pennys they have some of the Paddys day glasses and bits and bobs

Penneys have funny summer glasses - big pineapples and flamingos etc

    Boas from Dealz

You could make little flags with your names and date to hold in the photo

I think the Tiger shops are now selling photobooth props but I bought a load on ebay for half nothing

Great - thanks for the advice.
I had checked Tiger on Henry Street but they had nothing. however, i flew through the shop - it was my lunch break, it was full of school kids... Excited school kids so it was a little crazy!

Update - I rechecked the Tiger on Henry Street (in the GPO arcade) on Saturday and it didnt have anything. However, i went to the Tiger in the Pavillions shopping centre on Saturday and was able to get loads of things!
Also, Penney's had some funny sunglasses etc.
Just need to find some feather boa's and a couple of hats and I am done!

How does the homemade photo booth work? Are you providing props for people to take photos with their own cameras?

I'm very lucky, for a previous family wedding, a family member constructed a photobooth, like one for your passport photos - so you step in and close the curtain. They also made a program to bring people through the steps to take four photo's and used an old photo printer that we had to print off the photos.

However, I have been to a wedding where they set up a Canon Camera on a Stand, Had a board with instructions to set it up on timer - which werent as complicated as you would think - and loads of props for people to use. It was great fun - the best man had them uploaded onto a site the next morning and gave everyone a lot of laughs.

Sweet you have it the set up already lucky you...

Was hoping to do one too well I plan too, himself isn't too gone on the idea but was going to do the camera on a stand option, glad to hear it worked well.. I was trying to think how could I make a prop without it being completely obvious what it was... Thinking I might just have a photo opportunity point..

Did you manage to get the boas/could call into the second hand stores for the hats.. Just offer so much for a big bunch of them
