Does anyone know what this area is like to live in? Is it noisy? Are there a lot of students living here? House parties? Are there many families living here?

Lived there for the majority of the academic year last year, solid spot. It's very quiet, the majority of people living there were well settled families or elderly residents. The estate itself is also pretty well kept, lots of green open spaces too.

It's also an excellent choice in terms of location. Reckon that Lough Atalia or College Road would be my preferred places to live in the city in that regard.

Lived there last summer, nice quiet estate and close to town - as well as nice houses (in comparison to Forster Court)
    Would recommend :)

The Green & College Road are lovely areas to live. Tha Green is mainly occupied by owner occupiers, young professionals, and retired people. It has every possible convenience at its doorstep yet a quiet suburban area. The houses are also quite spacious and well built with off street parking. Its a lovely quiet area. College Road is an upmarket area of Galway. Professor Jimmy Browne, president of the University NUI Galway lives just beside The Green on Upper College Road.

Parking can be a real pain, or at least it was a few years ago. People abandon their cars there at times. Maybe someone who lives there now can confirm if this is still the case.

Parking isn't an issue there as there is off-street parking with all houses in the Green

As whereisgalway said, people would abandon their cars there. Sounds like it's not an issue now.

If you can get a nice house there its perfect. Really quite but some of the houses are quite old.

The houses in the Green are only 20 years old, so they are relatively new and quite spacious.
