Best Jeans - Recommendations Please!

Ugh! My heart is absolutely broke spending money on jeans which look great in-store but after one or two wears get baggy / saggy / ill-fitting.

I can't seem to get Topshop Baxter jeans anymore, which were fantastic. I bought a pair of Topshop Leigh jeans but they're a bit too 'jegging-like' for my taste.

Can anyone recommend good high-street store jeans... and I mean 'real' jeans as in proper jeans material not stretch jegging-type stuff!

I don't know much about women's jeans, but I'd say they'd follow the same rule as men's - the more you spend, the better the quality. So Diesel, Levi's etc will trump H&M and Topshop anytime.

If you can get Lee jeans, I've heard good things about them for women. Not too pricey either.

I love Tommy Hilfiger jeans, they are expensive but for me have been worth it. They've kept their shape and colour through countless washes.

I got 2 pairs of Levi's last year and was disappointed with them. They lose their shape too quickly.

On the high street, I like Topshop Jamie or River Island Amelie.

Hmmm, not sure. I've spent (i.e. wasted) money on cheaper jeans in the past. They don't hold their shape.

I'm looking for something a bit more highstreet. Has anyone got any feedback on Zara jeans? Or an alternative to the Topshop Baxter skinny jeans?

Ooh, never thought of River Island. Why?! I had a pair of their skinny jeans years ago and they lasted ages and held their shape. I'll go check them out.

I like the idea of the Jamie as an ankle grazer but not sure about the high-waisted feature. I'm 5 foot 2 and like jeans / skirts to sit on my hips. I should try them on though, right? I might just like them.

I have a pair of Hilfiger jeans from TK Maxx. They are fab but finding the correct size in TK Maxx is a bit of a struggle and I could never afford them from a TH retailer.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

I bought one pair of Zara straight leg jeans and loved them. However they were the only pair that I ever liked when tried on in Zara. So I don't know what is the quality like in general. +1 for River Island. I also like Mustang but I think they are mostly sold in independent boutiques and priced around Levis level or a bit less.

Fat face do great jeans for around 50 euro. I have two pairs of skinny jeans (not stretchy) from fatface and they keep their shape and colour great after countless washes

I bought my first pair of Zara jeans last week and I love them! Great fit, they stay up( I hate having to pull jeans up everytine I stand up) and they hold the shape very well. I got them just a little bit to tight at the hips and they stretch to a perfect comfy fit. They were around €30
