    Long time reader 1st post
Just wondering how bad things have to get before the dept take a herd number or equine number?
Know a guy causing a lot of problems and the dept deducted a lot of money last year but he's right back at it again
    Some never learn I guess

Being honest i have ever only ever heard of one guy that rented land near to us for a year. Came in blew the other local lads out of the water as regards rent. Destroyed the ground. Twelve months later we heard he was up in court over cruelty charges, i think he was banned for a number of years from owning animals.

This guy has similar attitude but wouldn't pay rent dump horses on land and if no one kicks up he takes the land as his own, seen horses die In places but again he denies ownership, tis hard enough to keep things right without that kind of carryon

Forgot to post on this last night. Have had a few very bad cases around here, two did jail time & one of those is banned from keeping cattle for life I think. However those situations were the darkest of the dark, with cattle dying in the fields, being thrown into lakes, locked up with no water, suck calves having to be put down etc etc.
All you can do is keep reporting them when you see something actionable. They will have a record built up against them and each time they'll have to tidy up the place and cop on a bit or else they'll be fined.
