Tracing a property owner

    Hi,

A bit of an odd one. We'd like to contact out neighbour and ask them about something regarding their property which is affecting us. However, the house is abandoned and has been for as long as we're been here and we don't know who owns it. Neither do any of our neighbours (or at least the ones we asked). How can we go about getting in touch with the owner? Thanks.

Enquire in the Land Registry first - if it turns out not to be registered go to the Registry of Deeds and make enquiries there. The Registry of Deeds may not be conclusive though. Good luck!
