Umbrella/Limited Company - work contract is in the UK

    Good evening,

I have resided for several years in the UK and work through my own limited company there.

For family reasons I am re-locating to Ireland, but want to see my current UK contract through to the end. It may go on for another 6 to 9 months. My area of work is very specialised so I may also end up getting another UK based contract.

I expect to commute to the UK and stay there for 3 nights a week, then return to Ireland.

Can I set up an Irish Limited company and/or work through an Irish umbrella company with my work being UK based. If so, shall I be able to claim my flights to work and my accommodation in the UK, for the days I am working there, as a business expenses

Also, will I be able to claim various tax reliefs in Ireland - I will be paying my parent's care home costs, also I would like, if possible to claim tax credits for work I have already done and am doing to my home in Dublin.

    Thank you for your replies.
