    hi all,

just looking at the below for broadband,
    http://www.three.ie/eshop/sim-only-plans/prepay-sim-only/

20 a month for all u can eat data,

i have good O2 mast signal, but no 3 signal, that was prior to the take over like, when they had separate masts,

as 3 bought o2 over, does this mean that if i had a 3 sim card, i can pick up a signal from an O2 mast? anyone know?

Your link above is for mobile data on a phone, not a broadband offer!

    Yes you can.
I am using a Three 4G broadband SIM logged into an O2 APN.
My local mast registers a 4G signal but is not switched on.
Three's 3G performance pathetic, so use the same SIM to log into O2 instead, which I find more consistent, though only half as fast as it was before the Three takeover !

Thank heavens for Meteor 4G, great speeds, but a 30gb limit only

ya, ive always found o2 great,

current download speed this evening is 10MBs, and upload of 1.6MB.

Afraid though if i use a 3 sim it will go down.

im only 3G here in the country, no 4G on these masts yet.

im actually using it through 48months,

sher by switching to 3, or Tesco or even O2 as it was, would the speeds be all the same, .

anyway, thanks for answering, i might give it a test.

You can get 2G (EDGE) from the former O2 network no idea on the time frame for access to O2 3G yet or if this has become available in the last few weeks.

You can get access to O2 3g already, I am currently using it.

So three customers access o2 signals then may I ask? What are the o2 APN settings may I ask?

By the way, as I've said on another thread, 3 is not taking signals from O2 masts yet.

o2 mast sim here has 58% signal this morning

    3 sim card is 22%

Clearly not taking signal from the O2 mast
