    saw a 151 D reg yesterday with a yellow rear number plate,

    fairly sure it was LHD as well

    just curious

    what type of car ? yellow plates definitely illegal - maybe spends alot of time up notrh or mainland uk

    Because there is no regulation over number plate production/printing like there is in the UK, you can get any colour or font style you like. It's still illegal and stupid looking in my opinion.

    That's probably it all right, though I don't see the point in it. It's not as if the registration number is remotely similar and doesn't fool anyone. Though some people seem to like the look of yellow plates on their blue car.

    There is no such place as mainland UK.

    It caught my attention too, but he was referring to it from the Northern Ireland perspective as he mention Northern Ireland first.
