    Just a quick one. Is there any car insurance companies open on a Sunday?

    Claim departments would be for obvious reasons but new quote seeking wouldn't be.

    This too shall pass.

    You could go online, but 9 times out of 10 online prices are ridiculously dear compared to ringing up.

    Just checked one insurance company and it was what I was expecting.

    Are diesel cars cheaper to insure because the quote for a larger diesel came in cheaper than a smaller petrol engine quote last week and this new quote, the car is 2000 euro more expensive.

    Depends on the car in question. Some cars have a loading on them due to high risk drivers using them and that's why it may be dearer for the smaller engined car.

    Just went ahead and paid the quote I got. Just one of them situations where had to pay but happy enough with quote even thou it was 120 more than last year :(

    What company did you go with? I've been trying to arrange insurance today online and after going through all the details so far each one has said to contact them directly during office hours. Frustrating.

    Exact same. Very frustrating!
    I was able to get a quote yesterday online for a certain car, and then late last night and all day today I wasnt able to retrieve it again. Have to wait until tomorrow to get the quote again!!
