    Hi,

Myself and my boyfriend are considering a break away for our anniversary. Our anniversary is in July so we could go then, or in Aug/Sept if prices were a bit cheaper.

We're looking to stay within Ireland. We love Galway but would prefer to go somewhere different for a change, we were considering Cork but really we'll look at all options/recommendations.

We'd really love some ideas on where to go, maybe somewhere around the cost would be nice, but not necessary.

There is so much choice and so many options that I am getting overwhelmed when I start looking and eventually give up.

Thanks so much in advance for any recommendations, advice, tips and ideas :)

Can you give a bit more info on what ye are after? Only thing you've mentioned is that the coast would be nice.

Cork is cool because you're within reach of a variety of places like Kinsale and Clonakilty etc. I really like Clare and Donegal for the aul coastal beauty.

Agreed that there are a ton of options out there so enjoy whatever path you take!

    Hi,

Thanks for your replies. We'd like somewhere where there is stuff to do, somewhere lively and as I said, somewhere along the coastline or near a coast.

We were thinking of Cork too, is there any particular part/area you'd recommend?

    Thanks.

Have a look here, http://www.irishlandmark.com/propertytag/by-the-sea/ , can recommend both the Barbican and the Wicklow Lighthouse.
