Is the big blue shed being used anymore. Used to see it in use regularly but have saw nothing in recent months. What was it usually used for and where (if not anymore) has works being moved to?

It was Rotem's allocated plant for sorting out commissioning and exams of the 22000 sets when in warranty. As none of the sets are in warranty any longer they no longer need it for this role so it is now closed.

I see, any reasons why Portlaoise wasn't just used?

Am I correct in saying there is still a term present in Ireland to assist IE when needed?

Rotem needed a depot of their own to do their own work. I believe that there is a small presence here but not on the scale of old.
