Hi , I'm curious to know how you guys would price the following just so I would have a ballpark idea of what to expect. We've gotten one quote so far which I thought was a bit high but then again I had no reference point . Just a labour only price.

31 Sq m of solid walnut floors.
4 doors to be hung + architrave.
    63 sq m of skirting.

Need to know type of doors, size, locks ,handles or rose & key plate double doors or all single. number of hinges
Type of skirting veneered or solid prefinished or unfinished what size
Type of flooring, floating , glued down or nailed down
A ball park would be about1200 - 1500€ incl vat could change up or down depending on detail

I would charge more than the above poster TBH.

You pay peanuts you get monkeys

supposing the floor was floated, and the doors, frames? architrave and skirting were of good quality to match the floor then I would be pricing it in at about €1500+

To be 100% none bias.... im not looking for the work, Im simply going by what I would charge

With out to much detail its a hard one to price time wise I was taking it as roughly about 6 days work at 250€ a day labour hardly monkey and peanuts territory

I wasnt trying to offend you. I was merely giving my opinion. Many people come on line to undermine the quote given by a tradesman who has actually viewed a job. Then the 'your paying too much brigade' get involved and potentially lose a man over work for pricing a job they havnt seen.

The comment you quoted wasnt aimed at you just to clear that up. Or the Op to be fair. It was more advice

Thanks for the replies folks , all very helpful . Its going to be a solid walnut floor that afaik has to be glued down . We're gonna get the doors separately ourselves so the quote was just for the labour to hang them but they will all be single doors. Tbh the quote we received was actually in that €1200 -€1500 region so I'm pretty satisfied with that , like I said I had no refernece point but it's good to get a ballpark figure here to put the mind at ease.
