    Hello,

Could anyone shed some light here please?
I have ford fiesta 2006, since last week when I turn on the ignition and the light switch is OFF the side lights turn on i.e. front and back side lights. It has started happening since last week. And I can see the sidelight icon as well on the display.
Would anyone know why this would be happening?
Atleast any one could let me know what to expect when I go the mechnanic?

Thank you very much for your help.

It might be getting jealous of newer cars with DRL's

Is your light switch definitly at the 0 some fiestas had a setting for park lights past the off position.

If thats not your problem have you had any bulbs replaced on the rear lately ??

After checking all that i would be checking the battery it might be starting the car but the voltage is not stable enough and causing faults with the modules.

Yes, it is definitely on 0.
As keith have in the image, it is on 0.
Yes, just 2 weeks back I have rear bulb replaced, the break light was not coming up, which was replaced on the right side.
    What effect does it have?

Thanks you so much for the replies.

More than likely a single contact bulb fitted when it should be double contact.

Why would they do that? Would it be coz they might not have known to get a double contact?

The fiesta does this maybe you never noticed as your bulbs were blown.

When you turn off car and open door side lights come on and same when you unlock as it helps find the car in dark.
