I'm looking at a few job opportunities at the moment, but won't be finished my current contract until August. Is it too early to be applying for jobs or giving out CVs? This is for fairly specialised/qualified jobs in the engineering sector, some being advertised through agencies and some direct from employers. Would I be wasting my time or annoying employers by applying when I won't be available for a few months?

That's true but I've a few other things going on, part time college etc. timed to coincide with finishing this job around august. I should have said in my first post, most of these jobs are abroad so presumably expect a longer lead time to allow for visas etc?

It's probably a good idea to at least prepare you're cv, have a look around to see who is Hiring at the moment. I would start applying if it was me.
