[Dublin] Anyone know someone who can hardwire a dashcam (BMW)

    Auto Electrical Concepts in Galway hardwired my Roadhawk into my Surf. He had a lovely e39 for years himself, and does a lot of work on BMWs in general, so I'd be confident he wouldn't have a problem doing it.

    Bmstuff on here seems to do lots of Bmw electrical upgrades ect and seems to do a great job. Idk how busy he is.

    I think I read before that's it important to wire to something that doesn't have a constant power supply when the car off otherwise you might drain the battery. But I would guess the experts would know that.

    Yeah that's a good point. Someone asked that question on the thread I linked to and it only turns on when the car is started. Makes sense really. Thanks for the tip though

    There are gadgets for getting around that issue, allowing you to leave the camera running until the car battery reaches a predetermined voltage and then shutting it off, leaving enough battery charge to restart the car:
