I just read hes in THC III so went to check his IMDB, he must have at least 35+ different acting roles in the last year.

hes actually a good actor who has tasted mainstream success, maybe he just likes to work, maybe hes chasing a guinness world record, maybe hes got tax problems, I just cant recall seeing anyone else that prolific

I'm self employed too. I don't turn down work. Fair play to him!

I googled Roberts just to see what 'THC3' was, but discovered he was Julia Roberts' brother

He's the talented one in the family. Loved him in The Pope of Greenwich Village and Star 80. But his one scene in the TV series Oz has made the biggest impression on me: cold, dissociated sociopath - made Hannibal Lecter look like a cartoon.

Oscar nominated for Runaway Train (1985).
A film that makes Unstoppable look like, erm... a cartoon.

Michael Madsen is almost as bad, have a look at his IMDB page for the last decade almost, crazy amount of jobs he took on.

There was a time when she was invariably referred to as "Eric Roberts' little sister", would you believe.
See also: John Voight / Angelina Jolie.

Is was fantastic, wasn't it? The one misstep it took, I think, was when it introduced this ridiculous subplot involving a drug that made the prisoners age more rapidly so that they could be released earlier...why did they go ahead with that?
Lee Tergesen, the actor who played Tobias Beecher is the closest I've seen to a Jack Lemmon clone (acting-wise) than even Bryan Cranston, and I thought he was superb throughout. He should have made a bigger splash afterwards.

Yeah, knew about Voight and Jolie - suppose I never thought to put the two surnames together!

Always remember Eric from 'Best of the Best' years ago. Great film :pac:

He is brilliant in Bob Fosses Star 80. That was supposed to be the movie that put him on the map, Gene Siskel said it was one of the best performances hes ever seen. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086355/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Yep, and I remember that same year when the late lamented Michael Dwyer claimed that Robert De Niro's King of Comedy performance was the best of the year and De Niro's best too (it was!) - and then judging Roberts' work in Star 80 to be even better! He was truly brilliant in it, no question.
