    Hi All I am thinking about going for my truck driving theory test c & c1 but I have 3 penitently points am I wasting my time will I get a job as a truck driver if I pass?? thanks.

    Plenty of jobs out there but most company policies are 25 or older . Also multidrop experience from doing van based deliveries is a big plus as very few jobs with simple A-B drops .

    Is there any truck driver's who had penalty points on there licence and still managed to get a job truck driving 🚘??

    probably best to ask the 4x4 tractor and plant subforum. Plenty of truckers there I think.

    You might get a job driving trucks but don't expect much money or time off.

    Don't bother with C1, you get it when you pass C.

    By many accounts truck driving is almost a voluntary activity nowadays, especially for new entrants. Spending thousands to get a licence to work stupid hours with huge responsibility for hopefully minimum wage do not make sense IMHO.

    Very true. My advice? Don't bother. Get another hobby. It will prove more worthwhile long term.
