Dublin Rd, Limerick - Cycle lanes ruined by gas installation

    Hi Limerick Cyclists,

    Any of you who take spins out the Dublin road towards Birdhill and Nenagh will have noticed that the designated cycle lanes (hard shoulder) have been destroyed by the gas pipes being put down. The replacement surface is not very level and they've left gravel everywhere.

    On the descent in to Birdhill from Nenagh, it's particularly bad and unsafe, IMO.

    I would urge the local limerick cyclists to contact your local councillor to complain. The planning permission to lay the pipes states that the company need to put the road back the way they found it.
