    Haven't done it myself (don't know why, as it really is a no-brainer). :)

    I've a cousin who's a schoolteacher & he's swapped with French & American families for 3 weeks or so at a time & he's found it a hugely positive experience.

    We're thinking of doing it, spoke to a former colleague who raves about it. She uses home exchange as linked above and has only positive things to say.
