    Well lads,
Just looking for recommendations about fertilizer and lime quantities for the soil test results attached. I was going to apply gran lime instead of ground lime.
    Cheers for the help.

Well, it aint bad for Lime needs 2.5 Tonne/Acre. If it was me, I'd put out the 3 tonne/acre now of ordinary aglime and you be fine then for a few years.
As you are Index 1 for P yet index 3 for K, i'd put out straight P first and then follow it with 18.6.12.

For grazing, you need 42Kg/Ha (avg 35+49) of P and 30 of K. Now 18.6.12 is balanced at a 2:1 ratio, so you'd like to have to put out 15kg P & 30Kg P after putting out the straight P. So put out 42-15=27Kg/Ha now of straight P and then the P& K would come back into balance, if that makes sense.

You can see the straight P's at the top here.
    http://www.gouldings.ie/our-products/fertiliser/product-range/

Also divide by 1.25 to convert Kg/Ha to units/acre. So 27Kg/ha would be 21.6 units/acre.

So in total 1.5 Bags of 16% SUPERPHOSPATE per acre, followed by 2 Bags of 18.6.12 per acre. If calculations are right.

If it's your own ground , or if rented and you are likely to be staying in it, spread ordinary ground limestone on it. Different if it's only for the year , or a quick fix needed. I would have thought with a ph of 5.7 that more lime would have been advised. Bag lime great quick results, but you may go again next year, so worked out a bit dearer in the long run, but you can spread with ordinary manure spreader, snd for smallish areas maybe the only option.
With lime , you are better to put out 2 tons per acre now, and in 3 or 4 years test again, and put out more if necessary.
How big an area is involved, and will you still have it next year ?

Hi lads thanks for advice. I rent the land and intend to stay there for the foreseeable. It's used for grazing. Can my contractor spread the gran lime and also the fertilizer on the same day. i.e. Spread the lime and then spread fertilizer straight after. So for 5 acres I would spread the gran lime and then spread 1.5 bags of 16% SUPERPHOSPHATE per acre and then spread 2 bags of 18.6.12

Would that then cover the requirements of the soil analysis.

Finally what determines the quantity of N to put out.

    Sorry for all the questions.
