Today on a motorway journey I noticed the clutch ever so slightly slipping in 5th gear at about 2000rpm. Anything above 2000rpm in any other gear an it's fine . I'm just wondering is this the beginning of the end for me clutch ,? An how long could I get out of it like this as I don't have the cash at the mo for a replacement. The car has 130k miles , original clutch an flywheel

If it's slipping it's worn I reckon. It might hold on for another while, or could fail quickly.

The gear you are in makes no difference. It's the torque that's stronger than the friction material in the clutch, and that'll happen in any gear.

I'm just wondering could something else be causing this as I've tried all day to make the clutch slip an It won't . It's Acutally goung perfect again
