I've just switched it on to hear a woman tearing into this lad who has a criminal conviction for drink driving/assault The guy admitted he made a mistake and the woman is calling him a scumbag. The woman has said she's never made a mistake in regards to law and said she would never hire anyone with a criminal conviction. The male host told her he'd been up in court and she told me he should be ashamed of himself and that people who've been in court should not be hired. Your views? I do think she was absolutely right in saying if you glass someone in the face then it is the act of an animal! http://www.98fm.com/player/listen_back

Drag-race between some ape who's belted someone and done porridge for it, and some po-faced Mná Na hEireann type spewing outrage? Meh, it's been done. Must be a slow news day in The Dublin. :pac:

Most of them Dublin stations have to employ actors to whip up the outrage. At least in the country our phone-in characters are 100% genuine.

Good thing she qualified that statement :pac:

It'd depend entirely on the circumstances really tbh, I mean, as long as they hadn't done something I wouldn't do, I'd have no problem with hiring someone who had previous criminal convictions. The very fact that they're looking for a job shows that not only have they done their time in prison and paid their debt to society, but they're hoping to be given a chance to contribute to society again.

Breda/Bosco is ALWAYS ON. I'm fairly convinced she's an actress.

Any coastal erosion in one spot gets deposited further up or down the coast,it doesn't disappear.
    Moral of the story...move.
