The touch site has become unusable on two of my handsets both with their stock android browsers. it appears to be connected to some of the adverts on the pages as the scrolling slows down and screen becomes unresponsive on pages which have some of the more elaborate adverts just before the browser crashes. no other pages open in browser and all cookies etc cleared and the issue still happens.

This is hapenning with a samsung galaxy S3 and an Acer Liquid E380.

I didn't notice your thread when I started mine as my symptoms don't include crashing, the rest are identical. http://touch.boards.ie/thread/2057415751/1/#post95129125

It's definitely the ads as I narrowed down the issue by testing with a blocker.

This is happening me as well. Using a Sony Xperia with Jelly Bean v4.1.2 and it happens on both Chrome and Internet Explorer. Other websites are fine, just Boards that becomes unresponsive and crashes.

OOh, I was blaming Firefox for this. Never thought the site would be the cause

Same here - Galaxy S3 stock browser. Pages freeze and browser closes suddenly with "Unfortunately the internet has stopped working" message. Happens so often I've practically given up on the site in the past few weeks.

This may be a phone problem rather than a site problem.

I had this for a while - no web page would stay open for very long - was all set to send the phone back to Samsung for investigation/repair, but the shop did a factory re-set for me, and it cured it.

However, I do have the problem of the boards touch site closing itself on a regular basis. Doesn't happen all the time, but it's intensely annoying when it does. Hasn't happened in a while, now that I think of it, but was definitely a problem for a couple of months.

I've been getting this a fair bit on chrome on Nexus 5, Android 5.1, the site will randomly crash while browsing, then reloadby itself and its all good then, will try get a screenshot next time....

Ok I could try a factory reset. Strange it would only happen on this site though.

Now I'm the first to admit I'm no expert on these things - and that's putting it mildly! So maybe get a second opinion on that....

But when that "internet stopped working" message used to appear, it was from any page I happened to have open - definitely not just boards (in fact, I think I was using the full site back then).

Nowadays if I'm on the boards touch site (because the full site wouldn't load properly on the phone) it just quietly closes itself and I'm back to my home screen. I use Chrome, btw.

I couldn't absolutely swear that this doesn't happen from other websites (just to confuse matters) but it's definitely 90% from boards.

Happening to me weeks now. To stop it, disable Java script in your browser settings. Works great for boards. Just most other sites seem to need it.

That's a good suggestion, boards is lightening fast on touch with Java script disabled.

Some things like the Thank button don't seem to work though. And it's a pain having to switch it back on again for sites that don't function without it.

Happens me as well I've a Moto G.

Definitely think its the adds. Doesn't happen on any other sites.

Thought it was Chrome for a while and uninstalled updates but problem persists.

Crashes randomly and adds appear to load slowly.
