Came out to my car after a confirmation in Ballincollig this morning and someone has run a key down the side of it.

    Scumbags

Between the Door Banging in Car parks, putting their shopping on the bonnet, whacking trolleys off the side of it and intentionally keying it, it seems people really don't give two shíts about other peoples property here.

You also see these lads walking home at night ripping and punching wing mirrors off cars (no way I'd park my car in the street in an Irish Town/City)

I've had my car for 5 years and the only time's its been damaged when unattended was in Ireland. Same with my last car, it got keyed twice in Ireland, the car before that had the wing mirrors pulled off so many times I got a few spares from a scrap yard to have them on hand.

    /rant over

Outside the church? New church or old church?

Sorry to hear, there's a lot of scum about.

My new neighbour told me no way should I leave my car out on the street outside my house in the middle of town; in the last 2 years he had his car broken into once, had some nutcase walk down the street with a drain cover in hands, smacking wing mirrors off 5+ cars and then put someone's back window in, joyriders smacking into the kerb outside where cars are normally parked, cars being keyed and lots of other nonsense.

Nothing worse than it, it's normally a combination of carelessness or general scumbaggery.

Could it have been a kids bike that did the damage?

    New Church.

Teenagers were coming out of the school but older kids, marks are too low down and too long to be from a bike, also not a mark that a brake lever would make.

Sorry to hear this. I can't understand it either. In the past 8 years that I have been driving I have had acid of some sort poured on my car, a wing mirror smashed off, a car rammed by joyriders a big dent caused by a shopping trolley, another anonymous bash and chipped paint when parked in a car park and a smashed rear windscreen! So much for maintenance on a car consisting of servicing, it's the damage that others cause to it that is the biggest expense. I've become one of those people who park in the far end of the car park recently.

Brake fluid, my neighbor in Cork City had the same done to his, all the clear coat dissolved and it started bubbling and turning pink.

Can say the same my last car I had the fly windows put in twice while outside my house on the road nowhere else to park it as there's only space for one in the garden.

The new cars a banger with more dents and scrapes on it then anything else so I've gotten past the stage of caring what it looks like, unfortunately. until i get a new one that is ....

They think mine was nitromors paint stripper. It all had to he resprayed and windows replaced also as they started to melt. Some people have no respect for other peoples property. And to think, the scrotes that did it were probably only about 16!

scumbags who will never be able to own their own car and have scant regard for other peoples motors.

does insurance cover a very badly damaged car? its basically vandalism at the end of the day?

a badly keyed car across all doors could easily cost up well in excess of £500, probably more to fix.

Hate this kind of sh1t happen to people's cars
I use to work in the Guinness factory when I was serving my time as a plumber and one sunny Friday I came out of work at 3.30 and my window smashed and 2 red bricks on the front seat and they obviously missed the window and hit the door frame and left a nice mark on it
Big massive key mark down the side of the car which was quite deep beyond polishing out
A 50ltr keg left on the Bonnet which is 12kg when there empty
Standing there at the car I was and a gang of toe rags about 14 years old cycle past me laughin askin what happened my car so was clearly them who done it and 1 kid hoped off his bike and walked over so I told him where to go and he said hel kill me so I threw his bike off a wall and he went off to get his big brothers to kill me so I got outa there ha
Absolutely no reason to do this to my car I'd love to burst them
