Hi, I'm just looking to get information on a boxing gym in Grantham Place in Dublin City center and ask has anyone trained here before. Do they train fighters etc? Also does anyone know anything about the coach Steve Dawson? Looking to take up boxing as a novice.

Stronger on than S&C than actual boxing, although there's no point starting out as a novice without it. He also has a portion of the class geared towards bag work and sparring. I started going a few years back, drifted away and only recently returned.

Nice friendly bunch and affordable monthly rate. Steve is sound and knowledgeable about the game. All in all, recommended for the white collar/novice type. For those looking for more, join an amateur gym such as Donore BC down the road.
