connecting routers

    hello

I connected 2 routers from an office i use to the house. the main router in the offices is connected to the asdl/eircom phone connection here.

I connected the 2 routers with a cat5e cable (about 25 meters) from LAN port to LAN port.

i had the DHCP enabled for the main router , with a range 192.168.1.100 to 200

i had the DHCP and DNS disabled on the secondary router, also changed it IP to 192.168.1.150 . I also changed the second routers SSID and password to match the main router.

I only did this yesterday evening, and the WiFi worked fine in the house, but as soon as i tried to plug a CAT5 cable from the secondary router to my PS4 the WiFi seemed to mess up. As the champions league was on by the time this happened I left it for the night , after I had to reset the secondary router, and put back in the changes to it to work with the main router again.

This may only have been something small, or can I not use the secondary router to connect with cables to the likes of the PS4 or home plugs ?

    Thanks in advance :)

I usually cascade routers ....... first LAN -> second WAN ... second LAN -> third WAN.

I ensure each is using a different set of IP addresses ...... 192.168.1.xx; 192.168.2.xx; 192.168.3.xx

Of course that limits connectivity between devices on the different LANs, but I have little requirement for that.
