People Carrier to take five to the wedding?

Hi team....advice or suggestions please. We're a second-time around couple getting married this Summer. The bride wants to arrive at the ceremony with her family, in a car that will comfortably seat five adults (plus the driver!). We'd prefer not to go down the stretch limo route, or even have two cars. It's not a high profile do, we're trying to keep it subtle. (I'd have a big yank gas-guzzler if I had my way lol).
We're thinking maybe a smart people carrier that would comfortably seat five adults. Is such a thing available as a 'Wedding Car' ?
Every site we've looked at seems to feature Vintage cars or regular size saloons. We're open to any ideas! Cheers.

Just pretend it was an accident and rent a hummer for the day!! She will believe it was a mistake or a trans am (weak) might find fitting 5 very cozy though :).

Back to it, have you tried just a rental company like Hertz or one of them for a daily rental.
Or approach you local dealer (car dealer that is) and ask would there be any way they would rent one out for the day and someone just transfer the insurance for the day.

Bar that they only think I could think of is asking a friend who drives one. How big lets say are the five people and is her dress very poufy. If lets say you would fit 4 in the back and one in the front then some of the mercs would be suitable there is lots of room in them.

Or the other one just ring the local taxi place and rent a mini bus, you could ask them to maybe come in early and ye could put ribbons on it, and maybe spruce up the inside of it to pretty it up...

A Hummer would be cool, but we're down in West Cork and they're few and far between around here. Non-existent to be honest.
I thought of the Hertz idea this afternoon, what a brainwave. we have people coming in at the airport, they could hire a Galaxy or similar, and we could use that. So I checked out the hire cost for two or three days. around 500 give or take. A bit expensive for a few hours use. Back to the drawing board. Unless anyone out there knows anywhere I could rent a Galaxy and driver for the day?

What about something like these guys http://www.executivetaxis.ie/our-fleet/ you could get a mercedes Vito or similar, which would have plenty of room for the adults.

Ah West Cork, that does limit things a bit.
The airport idea might still work. E500 sounds very expensive, I'd keep an eye on it and shop around. You can probably get a better deal.
Also are there any mini-bus or six seater taxis locally?
Any small town I've been to has a fleet of them ferrying people to wherever the local night club is on a given weekend. Surely there must be someone like that who you can track down and persuade to give the car a wash the day of.

Yes, you're right...I've already seen some better prices at the airport.
The Taxi idea won't work as they've all got large Taxi signs plastered over them, not classy lol !

Might be no harm to give them a ring and see can they recommend someone nearer you?

    Good thinking! Thanks.

Currently looking at a 7-seater people carrier from the airport for 48 euro a day (3/4 days)....

48 euro isn't bad at all.. Re the taxi's I am sure if you spoke to someone in the ranks they could get you a taxi that isn't plastered in signs, but didn't you mention ye aren't that fussy re what kind of car it is... There is a chap in Cork Tom Carr if you look him up his on facebook he rents cars but he might be able to help you out...

Or another mad idea there are a lot of super car shows coming up go to them and pick and car and ask them would they do the driving for the day....

Ha! Some good ideas there, many thanks. We're probably going to go for the 7-seater hire from the airport. BTW, we want to keep it subtle....the bride climbing out of ACME TAXIS 24/7 BEST RATES etc might distract from her arrival LOL !
