I'm still hanging in to lots of mine but some people seem to be in all summer mode now

I have had a major clear out of my wardrobe recently.. got rid of 4 black bags! - Felt quite refreshing!
So I am starting to pick up some new spring / summer clothes.

To answer your question I have put my thick warm coats and wooly cardi's to the back of the wardrobe for now.
Started to layer thinner cardi's over light tops to keep warm and still wearing jeans / trousers, its not quite bare legs and arms time for me yet.

The only things I really put away are the heaviest coats, scarfs, hats and gloves. A lot of the rest of my winter gear is layers that can be worn in different combinations for most of the year - particularly around this time where it can be extremely changeable.

Nope, we've had a nice week or two but it's still only April and as sure as eggs is eggs, winter will be back for at least one last gasp. Possibly even triggered by people putting away their winter clothes, cause I can pretty much guarantee you that as soon as I put mine away, the weather will turn shit again

I did. There are some dresses and skirts that I can wear all year round but I wear them with 30 den tights max in spring. I also wear mostly skin colour hosiery now. I still find Irish summers fairly cold so my summer summer gear wouldn't get much of an outing anyway. Winter coats are replaced with trench and jackets, wool jumpers are replaced by cotton jumpers, I wear stilettos instead of heeled boots for work. A lot of black shoes are worn less often and I wear lighter coloured shoes now.

I've put away my wool dresses and heaviest cardi/coat thing, need to give boots a final clean and check coat doesn't have any stains but everything else is usable for the next couple of months unfortunately!

It's never hot enough or cold enough to need 2 separate sets of clothes for winter and summer really!

Luckily man clothes aren't quite as season specific but I still have my proper winter coat handy in the press. It's only tempting fate in this country to pack it away in April.

Some folk really have lost the run of themselves the last couple of weeks. I've seen people wandering about in shorts and tshirts in 10 degree weather.

TBH - I don't really have winter/summer clothing, other than my coats & jackets. The only time I really buy summer clothing is when I'm going on hols and I might need some beachwear etc

Translation: you may need your winter clothes until June arrives.

In the process of packing away all of my winter clothes. Looking around the office building, most of the ladies have traded the black tights in for nudes. Those who haven't look seriously wintery in comparison

I just put away my winter coats this week and decided to stop wearing boots, though going to wear a lighter coloured pair with 30 den tights tonight. am wearing dresses and skirts with cardigans and cotton jumpers and trousers, with pumps. Not moved on to the skin coloured hoisery yet, mainly cos I think its far too early for it and some of the dresses I have are short enough so look better with dark tights.

It's a bit early still, imo, but I would really love to see an unwritten "rule" about opaque black tights in summer adopted. Kind of like the Yanks and the "No white after labour day" thing.

yes I agree, but its still spring. I usually only wear opaques October-April. Though last year May was quite cool so broke my own rule. I really hate seeing boots also in the summer unless its at a festival

Have put away my heavy winter coats and will put away my knee high boots at the weekend. But I don't feel like taking out my summer sandals just yet! I do find myself this last week or two reaching for my nude tights and pumps.
Thermals won't be put away completely - I tend to get roped into going to car rallies and I end up being outside all day so fleeces, rain wear, hats, gloves etc will still be within reach!
I love when all the summer clothes come into the shop but God it's so impractical with our Irish weather, you can't wear any of it unless you go abroad on hols!

Winter coat has been put away along with a couple of heavy jumpers. Other than that I tend to wear lots of layers rather than heavy items so much of my clothes can be used all year.
