    Nozzle is screwed into hydrant fitting on street and key is turned to vent water.You can connect hose to most nozzles.

    Item on right is better known as a Fire Hydrant Stand Pipe and item on the left is a mains water or a fire hydrant valve key.
    Commonly used when large volumes of water are required, for example, to keep a fire engine full of water or to fill street cleaning machinery.
