Lads I know this has been done before but the threads are a bit old. Can anyone recommend a place that has the putting lab machine & does lessons as I think the Dublin putting lab place in Citywest is gone.

Done some research & a Dave Kearney got some good reviews in Grange Golf club.Anyone gone to him?

I just want a putting lesson & to make sure My putter suits me. Be meaning to do this for a while now. Any help much appreciated.

This probably is no help to you if you are in Dublin. But if you are down the country Birr Golf shop has a Sam Putting Lab and will alter your current putter to suit you or for you for a new one. They are very good in there. Pm me if you want

Not sure off hand but they have free demo days every now and again I can let you know next time it's running....think it's between 30-50 Euro for a session but could be wrong!!

The Golf Lab was in Parkwest industrial estate rather than Citywest. I'm not sure if its still around or not though. Was there a couple of years ago.

You do get a lot of technical information from it, but I think I've come to the realisation that putting is primarily about confidence & practice. I don't know that you'll gain a massive amount from a lesson, but I could be wrong.

The swing, generally speaking looks quite similar for most people, but there is such an enormous range of putting methods that I don't think there is one right way to putt.

When I've gone to short game sessions in the likes of the GUI academy there is very little emphasis on putting technique usually

I know space and agree. I mainly want to find out that my putter is correct for me. As a putter like any club if its wrong for you, a right one could make a big difference!

And would like to get a bit technical regards the weight in the head etc As most putters are bought of the shelf just by what feels good at the time. Especially as its considered the most important club in the bag & most over looked.

P.s I think the golf lab is gone as I just get an engaged tone when I ring the no & their website is gone also.

Hi, I think the Golf Studio in Celbridge driving range does putter fittings.
