    Hey folks

    Looking for recommendations for two things;

    1) a decent handyman/electrician who can install a CCTV system onto my house which I had already purchased

    2) any well recommended alarm installers? Would ideally like it to be monitored, but PhoneWatch too expensive.

    Thanks!

    AFAIK you have to use a licensed contractor for any kind of security gear these days

    For both jobs you are required by law to use a PSA licenced installer.
    The various registers of installers is here

    You are right Phonewatch Prices are one of the most expensive. Shop around and you will get mush better deals. Another thing to note on PW systems... Its lock to them and their station you will never have the option to switch provider or shop around for monitoring or service once its installed.
