O Shea’s hotel Tramore is the place to be this coming Saturday the 25th of April, as it will play host to Tramore in Rock which is a gig featuring three of Waterford’s finest rock bands. The bands have organised this gig as a fundraiser for Tramore community Radio and it should be of interest to anyone who ever wore a denim jacket in their life, you know who you are.

So what to expect, well the three bands in question are Collides, Pilgrim and Metropolis, all veteran rockers who take no prisoners when it comes to head banging.

Collides are an alternative rock trio with psychedelic and garage influences and a vocal style reminiscent of the great Jello Biafra/ Johnny Rotten. Their set comprises original pieces such as ‘No way out’’ ‘’All the Time’’ and the unforgettable ‘’Land Ho’’ a must see for anyone with original rock music preferences.

Metropolis on the other hand are a full on no holds barred Motorhead tribute band that not only sound identical but in the form of lead singer Thor Zeller a dead ringer of the god Lemmy, if somewhat lighter in years. If you don’t like this band who pump out the metal unapologetically you would be well advised to reassess your rock credibility status, one direction these guys aren’t.

Pilgrim, worship at the same alter as the two aforementioned that is hard rock and dedicate themselves to the best of that genre, covering classics from the foo fighters, Alice in chains, Led Zeppelin, Ac/Dc, Black Crows and many more. Drawing on their collective experience over many years they promise to rock you solid.

The gig takes place in O Sheas Hotel Tramore on Saturday the 25th of April 2015 and doors open at 9 pm. Tramore community Radio will be broadcasting the gig live on tcrfm.ie, sponsors on the night include the raglan road and alpha sounds who will be providing a serious sound and lighting system, for anyone wishing to make an overnight of it O Sheas hotel are offering one nights b & b for two plus tickets the gig for €89.

For those about to rock we salute you, now where did I put that denim jacket.
