Hi,

I just applied for Louth Housing with my 5 children and I've got a private rented accommodation but still waiting for housing list letter to apply for the HAP. I've paid landlord deposit and landlord want me to move in and start getting paid. However, the council now said it would take 12 weeks for me to receive housing list letter and another few weeks to process HAP application. My fear now is how will i pay the rent between the 12 weeks of processing the HAP application? Someone said even if i manage to pay landlord directly the HAP won't return the rent i've paid before they complete my HAP application, i'm really scared now.

Anyone in this situation before?
