Irish in the Leaving Cert

    Hi, wondering does anyone know if irish is a requirement on the leaving cert for Aer Lingus Casetships?

    Better off checking the Cadetships page on Aer Ligus and see what it says. But i doubt it is as English is the Aviation Standard regardless.

    Cool, I seen on the requirements English maths, no lower than C ordinary level and 2 higher subjects. So I assume irish shouldn't matter, so thought I'd ask anyway to make sure if anyone went for the application without irish :)

    No, Aer Lingus doesn't care about your Irish :)


    But you do need to pass NUI matriculation for Air Corps Cadetships so you'd need Irish for that, if you're interested in that.

    Thats true, but im already in the Permanent Defence Forces and in need of a career change lol.
    Be hard to go through as a Cadet :/

    If your current serving PDF then you should have no issues with Irish. Majority of orders even when on parade are issued in Irish.

    Ah I know, The Irish we use is a bit mad ha.. I don't need it anyway on LC to apply for Cadetship with Aer Lingus.

    The irish used aint that mad mate ;) And true you wont need it for the cadetship
