    das Fach

die Fächer (this one I am finding hard)

Obviously the der and die are fine but its to pronounce the other two words as I get confused with the umlaut pronunciation
. can anyone spell it out in English phonetics for me to try.

leo.de - type in the word and it will give you any pronunciation you need.

    Fach - Fahkh
    Fácher - Fehkhehr

Better to listen to them though on leo.de

Every (physical) dictionary has the IPA spelling beside the word to help you with that.

Also the 'listen' function on google translate is quite useful if you want to hear the difference for yourself.

I have tried google translate but sometimes it is easier to read the phonetics to get a better feel for it. thanks for this.
