electric shower problem.

I have an electric shower in the ensuite of my rented house.
The switch is like a light switch on the wall with a light over it and is upstairs in the converted attic for some reason.
Most mornings there is no problem but the odd morning there is no hot water out of it dispite it being left on 24/7.
Any ideas why it would not be hot some mornings?

is it an electric shower? Does it heat the water?
Is it a power shower? a power shower pumps out water already heated in the hot press.
What make and model is it?
can you post a photo of it.

Has the switch been pulled but not fully as my sisters use to do that all the time.

The cord needs to be pulled quite hard.

The heat element could be on its way out of possible loose connection but as said above a little more info may help.

Without the make & model all I can do is guess.

It actually sounds like its not an electric shower at all. An electric shower heats the water almost instantly.

It sounds like you have a power shower. A power shower pumps out hot water ( already heated ) from your hot water cylinder. It sounds like some mornings the cylinder is out of hot water.

The switch upstairs you mention sounds like a switched spur. ( this has a 3amp fuse in it ).

If you can add some photos or make & model I might be more help to you.
