I was unaware that my TRS for my mortgage had been stopped abruptly. I did not receive any warning. I owe a sum of money to revenue and wonder has it been stopped because of my liability? Can they do this?

PS I did not pay my mortgage for two months but my bank recapitalized the arrears.
