    Just read this thought it should be posted up here. tomorrows race is canceled due to tragic circumstances. Hope they find the missing person.

    Dear Competitor,

    As race director for the Tri an Mhi Trim Castle Duathlon Series, it is with regret that we have decided to cancel the event scheduled for this Sunday 12th April. This is due to the tragic and unforeseen circumstances that have arisen over the past week. A member of Meath River Rescue has been missing since last Saturday and the search has been ongoing along the river section that the run route takes in. The event transition area is located very close to the slip way that is required for access and egress. We feel that it would be very inappropriate for an event to take place at this time. Meath River Rescue is a key partner for our club and plays an integral role in providing safety cover for all of our club triathlons.

    Your race entry fee will be returned to you without delay and we thank you for your support and understanding at this difficult time for the family of the missing person and also for their colleagues in Meath River Rescue.
