Is there no choice anymore in question 6 in ordinary maths or is it just applied for higher level?

No choice at either level on Q6 anymore. You will; not see the 6A OR 6B as seen before. No guarantee that Q6 will be Geometry at all. They may put it elsewhere on the paper.

On a wider level it's a disgrace that there is no choice whatsoever on either paper in any of the sections. I know they are trying to ensure that schools don't leave out sections to teach but it's a bit unfair (particularly on a good student) to allow no flexibility on the day.

Just to make a comparison. Higher Level Geography 2014
Short Questions: Attempt 10 of 12
Essay Questions: Two from Section 1 - Core
    One from Section 2
    One from Section 3
    Electives: More Choice...got bored checking.

Anyway this is the case across the subjects. If they allowed some leeway in Maths it would avoid them having to make such ridiculous marking schemes to make sure that people are passing.

Big issues generally about how the Maths exam is set and more so how it is being marked but that is for a different thread.
