car competition

    Friend is entering a competiion to win a car. T&C include


    "Entrants must consent to their name being published as a winner and may be required to take part in future publicity. The personal information provided for this prize draw will be held and used to administer the competition. GMRoI Ltd. May also use this information to notify you by mobile telephone, email and/or SMS about new or existing services, products and special offers from time to time. "


    For how long after would one have to take part in publicity. Is there any way to opt out of the future texts etc if they were really persistent

    It's not going to be Hollywood :) I'd say a photo shoot presentation,maybe turn up at a event as guest.
    They really couldn't ask more than that.
    The texts I'd say you can opt out anytime really or just block the number.
    All that said your friend would be contacting the organisers and asking them

    intersting, can you provide the link to this competition and its t&cs, would like to investigate further, with data protection laws there is always an opt out but with winning a competition its not like having service with a provider so im not sure
