Ebay Missing Package from Hong Kong

    Hi
I purchased a diecast model aeroplane for my 5 year old son on Ebay from a seller in Hong Kong on 23rd of March and still haven't received package yet.
I did a small bit of research on the seller and all showed up positive with good feedback from people who would have dealt with him.

Demographer (Benedict Lee) was the person I purchased from and wondering if anyone has had dealings with this person in the past?

When researching I noticed some UK buyers had issues with HK customs stopping certain packages going to Europe for various reasons.

I'm at a loss as to how to find out the status of the parcel as I wasn't given a tracking number just a receipt number and an email address from the seller. (awaiting response from)

Is there any point in contacting Ebay directly?
Money left my credit card account on the day of purchase.

Still early post from HK will take minimum 3 weeks but most cases over a month, some parcel do get stop by HK post if they contain batteries.

It might get stop by customs in Ireland when it arrives, depending on declared value you might have to pay customs or they will ask you for proof to show how much you really paid (paypal receipt or ebay screenshot) if they think declared value is wrong.

A couple of things I ordered took over 6 weeks.
It will more than likely turn up,its waiting is a bit of a pain.
I find if I am ordering something from China it's better to just forget about it.
Sometimes things turn up for me and I can't remember what I ordered.

Takes a long time as said.

However ebay do, or used to have a short time frame in which you can put complaints in. I think it was 40 days or something, after which they would not take complaints about not getting something delivered. So in the past I have had to put a complaint in just to get my "foot in the door", even though I thought nothing was wrong. I emailed the seller telling them this too.

Nothing happens to the seller if you do this, once you put a complaint in you then have a few weeks to escalate it to a proper complaint they will investigate.
