Where to find upper casing for an old NIlfisk?

On behalf of a friend... They have an old NIlfisk GS90, it's around 28 years old but just got a brand new motor fitted a couple of years ago. The upper part of the casing is now damaged and needs to be replaced. I've been looking online but so far can't find one. So is there anywhere in Ireland or the UK that you could suggest?

    Thanks :)

For something that old, I would imagine that your best bet would be the car boot/table sales.
Worth sending an email to Nilfisk, you never know, they might have some old spares in stock.

There's a hoover mending shop that I think mends Nilfisks in Harold's Cross, at the Kenilworth end, near the church but on the opposite side. No 16 and 49 buses.

And there's Carrick Hoover repair centre in Monkstown. Your best bet would be if they got one in recently and told the owner it wasn't worth repairing in which case they might give it to you to break for parts. They're opposite the Catholic church on Carrickbrennan Road in Monkstown, yellow shopfront.

You could also keep an eye out in your local electrical shop, they're obliged to take back old appliances and they might have a GS90 in the skip at some stage. The official recycling centres don't permit scavenging but the electrical shops shouldn't have a problem if you're prepared to take away the whole unit.

theres a crowd called kavanagh , i think in galway.

they're the main supplier of nilfisk in ireland.

edit: they may be trade only but worth a call

The Kavanaghs in Galway haven't been trading in over a year at this stage.

Also, they were never the main dealer... there are a number of different dealers throughout the country.

They definitely have the upper cases for the 80/90 models in stock at Nilfisk Tallaght, that's where they repaired my mam's machine
